With spring here, many allergy sufferers are facing that big bad ol’ pollen and dealing with the side effects. If you have an air filter, you know that they can make you feel so much more comfortable and improve your quality of life. Your family can enjoy a higher quality of air, better breathing and deeper sleep – often right from the very start when you use an air filter. There are a number of places to consider using an air filter you might not be using one that are ideal to add to your life – especially if you suffer from allergies and asthma.

Baby or Child’s Room. Many children do inherit their parent’s allergies or asthma. You can make your children far more comfortable as they age with the addition of an air filter. Most air filters will remove important irritants like second hand smoke – things you don’t want in your child’s lungs. If you’ve moved into a new home or an apartment, adding an air purifier in their room can be an ideal choice especially to help clean the air right from the very start. Children may not notice any great difference, but their parents can often notice that they are sleeping through the night, that they have less bronchial infections and that they don’t seem to catch “bugs” as often. When you have a better quality of air, you simply feel better.

The Office. This is another excellent place to add an air filter. Now I have a confession to make: I added an air filter when my boss built me my own office and I needed to get rid of the dust and paint fumes. At first they noticed the box on the floor. But it was a quiet box on the floor. And I noticed that my energy level was higher, focus was stronger and I felt more energized but also a bit more relaxed. Why? Because I was breathing better. The air filter cleaned my office from dust within a long weekend, a great convenience. But I kept that air filter in my office the entire time I worked for them. An air filter in your office can offer a lot of benefits and take up minimal space.

Family RoomFamily Room. The family room is often one of the main rooms the family spends time. Yet when we buy air filters we often place them in our bedrooms. If you are spending a lot of time in the family room, an air filter for this room is an excellent choice. Your family will feel more energized and will breathe better overall. You’ll notice that you are less affected by seasonal allergies, mold or pet hair.  Whether watching television, playing a board game or just “being family” together – everyone will appreciate the subtle difference.

Guest Room. This is an ideal place to add an air filter as you entertain your guests will be quite comfortable breathing high quality air. They may compliment you on how well they sleep, at first thinking they are just very relaxed in your home or that you cooked them a delicious home cooked meal to soothe them to sleep. But you’ll know that the real difference is the air filter beside their bed. Best of all as the air filter is quite and easy to use, your guest will have no trouble using the air filter. If they wish to change the setting to low or high they can do this easily. The air filter is simple and convenient for everyone to use. Putting one in your guest room makes you the ideal host, one where guests will look forward to returning time and time again.

If your college student suffers from allergies or asthma, a smart purchase can be an air purifier. Some parents may wonder if they should get their college student an air purifier. How do you know it is the best time to get them a purifier?

Any student can benefit from an air filter purifier, not just one who has allergies or asthma. People with air purifier tend to breathe easier and sleep sounder. If your college student has lots of tests and projects, it would please many parents to know they’d be able to sleep more soundly the night before a big test or to be breathing easier regularly. Some dorms have things an air filter can help to purify such as cigarette smoke and cooking smells. As you can see, there are many reasons to get an air purifier for your college student. Not simply for the college student with allergies or asthma.

It is important that an air purifier be treated with proper care. If your college student is known for misplacing things or not treating their belongings well, you may need to explain how to care for an air filter. Caring for an air filter is not difficult but not using it properly will mean it does not work effectively. Don’t hang clothing or other objects over it. Don’t sit or lean on it. The best thing to do with your air filter is to put it in a corner or part of the room where it can be out of the way of regular activity. Many college students are social and like to have friends in their rooms. Friends need to understand that the air filter needs to be treated properly.

The air filter needs to be changed occasionally so it works best. For most users this will be several times a year. It is probably most convenient for college parents to give their college student the air filter with several air filters to change when they need changing. This way they are ready to change the air filter as needed. Or give them ordering instructions so they know how to order them and understand when a refill will be needed.

Don’t be surprised if you hear from your college student that they are getting a better night’s sleep. They may feel better overall, a sign that they are just breathing better and more deeply. If others smoke in the dorm or cooking smells have bothered them, these may no longer be experienced. It is very pleasing to know the air filter is doing its job well.

An air purifier is the ideal gift for any college student; they will appreciate your thoughtfulness.

Many people are quite familiar with April Fool’s Day. That popular day dedicated to pranksters. Lots of people like to poke gentle fun at the folks in their life on April 1st saying, “April Fools” and doing a funny prank to make them laugh.

Well it’s no prank to run out of air filters during spring allergy season. There’s nothing like suffering from your spring allergies and knowing you need a refill for your air filter. Don’t be the April Fool and let your air filter run out, causing you to suffer while waiting for your refill to arrive. This challenge is easier to avoid than one might think. Let’s talk about some tips to avoid being the April Fool:

Order a refill now for your air filter. Yes you may not need an air filter now, but having an air filter available right at your fingertips when you do need it is a great convenience. During springtime allergy season, your air filter works harder than usual. You must expect that air filter refill to fill up quicker than during other times. It’s the savvy allergy sufferer who prepares and plans for allergy season in the springtime.

Don’t be shy about paying for rush shipping. Most of us like to avoid these expenses when we order products that we need. But when it comes to a refill for your air filter, you probably really want to get that quickly. Spending a week or even three days suffering from allergy symptoms and being uncomfortable as you aren’t able to use your air filter simply isn’t worth it. Having that air filter on hand by choosing rush shipping is the savvier choice for most. If you haven’t ordered ahead – consider ordering quickly.

When you do order refills for your air filter, don’t just order one but order two or three. Some choose to order them one at a time because of course we use them one at a time. But if you keep a few on stock at all times this will mean that you are ready the moment you need an air filter refill. It also means the next time you order air filter refills will be far less stressful, that you can do it at a time that is convenient to you. Order them as your air filter is working well for you. Instead of ordering it when your air filter refill has been completely used and you need another one immediately.

Save on shipping and order with a friend. Try to order air filter refills with a friend so you can save on shipping costs. You probably have friends and family who use air filters just like you do. If you order air filter refills at the same time, your shipping costs can be split down the middle instead of paying shipping costs for the two of you.

So don’t be an April Fool and suffer through springtime allergy season with no air filter refill. Plan ahead if you can – or plan ahead for the next time!

I Heart Clean Air

With spring allergy season here, many allergy and asthma sufferers may be thinking about getting an air filter purifier for the first time. If you are thinking about getting an air filter, you’ll be pleased to know that these machines are quieter, more convenient and even more powerful than ever. Best of all you’ll enjoy better breathing, a higher quality of air, improved vitality, sounder sleep, stronger focus and deeper relaxation during the day. Yes, an air filter has many benefits. But buying one may seem kind of overwhelming to some. There are so many to choose from. And they do so many different things. How do you pick the right one? Let’s talk about some things you should know before you go shopping for that first air filter.

Air filters work by cleaning the air in a location rapidly a certain number of times every hour. Now different machines will give you a different number – but often the number is high (like 10 times an hour) as these machines work quickly. The key to remember always with an air filter is that they will only clean a certain space according to width and length. That they just can’t clean any size of a location. So you need to get the air filter machine ideal for the space you need it for. You don’t need to get a “bigger” machine for the area you want, thinking it will do a better job. Air filters today are quite strong and the machine suited for your specific area will work perfectly. Simply measure the room or area and use these measurement as you go shopping. If you don’t have a tape measure. Walk the room with average steps and most of your steps are about a foot in length for a 6 foot or shorter person. if you are taller, consider your steps to be larger and adjust the measurements.

Some air filters purify some irritants and other do not. This confuses shoppers as some think that an air filter is an air filter. But there are quite a number of different machines available today. Some air filters will remove pollen from the air. Others will remove mold spores and dust. Some can remove bacteria. Others can remove smoke (like cigarette smoke). Check the label or box to see exactly what this machine does and if it meets your needs. Each person has certain desires for their air filter. The person allergic to cats may want it to remove pet dander and not be concerned with other needs. Someone whose mother in law smokes and visits occasionally may want it to remove smoke. Or someone with severe allergies may want it to do everything. Again, you want to find the air filter machine that meets your needs. The best way to do this is to read the label.

Your air filter machine is going to work best when you follow the instructions. This sounds very simple but you’d be surprised at the folks who just ignore this. If your air filter’s instructions say to replace the air filter every three months, then follow this guideline. It is there to assist you with your allergy or asthma. If your air filter machine has certain suggestions about where to put it, then follow these guidelines. Some air filters will say not to put anything on top of them. Your air filter is a busy machine, working at purifying the air. It does not need to be a place you keep a potted plant or your library books. Let your air filter do its job and it will do its job quite well for you. The more you follow the instructions, the better a job it will do for you.

As the holiday season will soon be here, now is the time to think about planning and preparation. You are probably having family or friends to visit for the holidays. It is a fun and enjoyable time to have friends and family visit – but are you truly a gracious host? One of the best things you can provide your friends and family with is a HEPA air filter purifier for your guest room.

If you already enjoy an air filter, you know how well it works and exactly why you like having it. Having your air filter can help keep allergens at bay, ideal for allergy and asthma sufferers. It can also purify the air, letting adults and children sleep sounder and wake refreshed and relaxed. An air filter can remove cigarette smoke, pet dander, cooking smells and so many other things you simply don’t want in your lungs. Once you have an air filter, you truly don’t want to do without.

That’s exactly why a good host provides an air filter for their guests. They know the ease and comfort an air filter gives during the day and night. Not only for allergy and asthma sufferers – but for everyone. An air filter is easy to use, simply show them how to turn it on, off or higher and lower and they’ll know how to operate it. Remind them not to place things on top of the air filter like a soda can or clothing.

One of the best things about providing an air filter in the guest room is knowing that your family and friends will get deep and restful sleep. If they have never experienced using an air filter before, this may be a bit surprising to them. This will be a great treat for them to enjoy a natural and restorative evening breathing purified air. It may even encourage them to get air filters for their home, knowing they’ll always sleep that way. For the allergy or asthma sufferer, they will be especially touched you have an air filter as this means they can breathe easier staying with you. But even for someone without allergies or asthma, an air filter can be a great comfort.

You already know that an air filter is not a luxury, it is a necessity. You use your air filter every day and it brings comfort and great ease to your life. So it would make sense that you would want your guests to enjoy that very same comfort and ease. Giving them this experience in your home is truly being a good host in every sense of the word. The good host always wants their guests to be at home in their home and to feel comfortable during their stay.

The only challenge when you provide an air filter to guests? They may feel so comfortable, they won’t want to leave! But if they are your family and friends, you’ll always be glad to have them stay awhile.
