Whether you have a grade school student or a fully-grown college student – an air filter is an ideal purchase to add to their back to school list. The student with an air filter will receive many benefits that will not only help them with school – but with their overall life.
Many parents find it frustrating to have a child with allergies or asthma. This child seems to get sick far easier than other children – and getting over illnesses seems harder than other children. Having an air filter can help them feel more comfortable and in some cases can help to prevent illness. Many air filters remove airborne bacteria from the air. Many of them also remove mold, dust and pollen from the air – some of the most popular allergens that trigger allergy and asthma attacks.
For the older child an air filter machine can encourage self-care but also make this a bit easier. This is especially true if you are sending them away to college or boarding school. The air filter may serve as a silent reminder to other students not to smoke in this students room, even if your child does not tell them this repeatedly. Students living so close to each other are likely to catch each other’s colds and other illnesses easily. Having an air filter can help to cut down on this a bit.
A great benefit of an air filter for any student is that it will encourage deep and restful sleep at any age. Many who suffer from allergies or asthma have trouble sleeping due to congestion or allergy troubles. Sometimes simply getting a good night’s sleep can make a great difference in how you feel. It can also boost your immune system and help to prevent catching other illnesses.
The “back to school” season is upon us and many parents and students are buying laptops, cell phones, books and school supplies. For any child – but especially the allergic or asthmatic child – remember to put an air filter on their back to school list! You and your family will be so pleased at the great difference it makes for them in every way.

Try our helpful tips to help your child use their air cleaner purifiers easily:
Teach your child how to use and respect their air filter. An air filter is not a toy and should be treated gently and carefully for best use. Young children can be taught how to turn it off and on for their own safety. Older children can be shown how to turn the air filter machine to higher or lower settings.
Tell your child what not to do with their air filter. For example, it is unwise to move an air filter while it is plugged in and operating (turned on). Unplug the air filter and turn it off to move it. Children should also know not to put items draped over their air filter or on the air filter. Leaving cans of soda or schoolbooks on the air filter do not help it to operate to its best abilities.
If your child is young, explain to them that you will manage their air filter and they should come see you about the machine. That they should not touch it. An older child may be able to understand how to turn on and off their air filter and enjoy participating in this way.
